"Mama I'm coming home"

Sorry, Ozzy Osbourne was the only cute thing I could think of. We are staying in Perry, GA known for being south of Macon which is known for being south of Atlanta which is known as the capital of Georgia. We left at 8:51 am and got here at 8:40 pm. Tried to stop at Kennedy Space Center. Yikes!! Really expensive especially for only having an hour or 2 to spend there. Then tried to go to a museum as part of our membership. Closed until 7:00pm. Well, we finally got back on the road and after passing Orlando hit a stretch of the absolute hardest rain I have ever seen. Rain was all I could see. We were driving 35mph on the interstate with our flashers on and I could still barely see the car in front of me. The water couldn't run off the road fast enough and left huge puddles in the road. It was pretty scary. We stopped to eat and ran 20 feet from the car to cover and got drenched like someone dumped a bucket of water over our heads. Don't worry though, we made it ok. The kids did really well for a trip that long. We made frequent stops (and U-Turns, which are pretty commonplace in Florida) and they watched 3 movies (thank god for the DVD player). There has been some car fighting, but they've been really good for the most part.

Tomorrow we leave, hopefully fairly early and plan to stop in Chattanooga to visit the campus. Then off to home. We'll call grandparents if we get home before too late. Weather shows lots of storms tomorrow. Nothing can possibly be worse than today's storms.

Simpson's Movie

I now know the rest of the words to the "Spider Pig" song! It was a really good movie. If you're a fan you'll love it. It was fun to see it with a large group of people all excited. The plot is unimportant, Homer is obviously stupid and the writers make fun of themselves a few times as well. It was like watching a longer version of the TV show (which they allude to in the beginning). The biggest laugh came when they first took advantage of the fact that it was a PG-13 movie and not a TV show. It was awesome. You'll know it when you see it. Unlike South Park the Movie, the Simpsons movie was tasteful and I can only think of 3 parts that would definitely not have passed TV standards. Definitely less crude than almost all other PG-13 movies I've seen, cartoon or not. Comment or e-mail me if you want to know something else.

Also, definitely stay through most of the credits. There are some clips (one good one with Mr. Burns who I would have liked to have seen more) and a great reprise of the Spider Pig song.

Ft. Lauderdale

We've been decompressing in Ft. Lauderdale since Monday. We spent one last day at Magic Kingdom on Sunday and rode on every ride we could possibly have wanted to. Cecelia cried when we left, and she made me cry. We were tired and emotional. Luke was just happy to get a Buzz LightYear space gun (by the way, I'm unbeatable on that ride). We've been to the beach and our second museum and just swimming in pools a lot. The hotels were free (well, paid for already). Thanks to the Marshalls for the museum passes. We've been to 2 of them down here, for free!

We went to a real "Kwiki-Mart" from the Simpson's in Orlando and ate a Donut and Hot Dog with Homer. I'm really excited about going to see the Simpson's movie tonight at midnight.

Random thoughts on current events etc.
Michael Vick is sick
Go Reds! Aaron Harang = Cy Young
Dad Marshall - You were right about NBA officials. The NFL?
Spongebob is great, but I'm glad I don't have cable
I will never live in South Florida.

Animal Kingdom/Epcot/MGM/Magic Kingdom

We're definitely trying to get our money's worth. After tomorrow we'll have been to all 4 parks in 6 days. We'll need a break at the beach to recover. Some of the highlights were the Safari ride & Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom (got Cecelia to ride Everest). Circling the world, getting soaked at water stops, and the astronaut play area at Epcot. Star Tours (3 times), Ariel's show, and Meeting the Incredibles at MGM and we visit Magic Kingdom for the 3rd time tomorrow. Everybody has a favorite ride there already, but Pooh seems to be the big hit. We have met almost every Disney character imaginable. It was a great treat to meet the Incredibles and Frozone today. I've been looking for them everywhere.

St. Petersburg Beach

We're at the beach. Cheap hotel, but oh well. We're close to the gulf. The water here is really salty.

Magic Kingdom/Epcot

There is so much to say about what we've done. I really can't fit it in here. I've been trying to keep a journal too and I've filled up 3 pages just on the past 2 days alone. Wednesday was like the perfect day. It started with a Princess breakfast, Cecelia got to be in a show with Belle, we wore out the park on the rides (as much as a 3 and 6 year old can), and we ended with the light parade and fireworks. We were there from 8:30am until 10:30 pm and didn't get home until midnight. Then we went to Epcot the next day (not until later).

Everybody's healthy and having fun. We are off to the beach today and tomorrow in St. Petersburg.

I'm working on my picture issues so be patient, I may have some to view next week.
